Handling & storage

General guidance for keeping eggs in good condition.

The following is general good practice for handling eggs. It describes common practice rather than a certification of our own operation.

Rotate stock first in, first out

Use the oldest crates first and keep new deliveries separate so nothing sits at the back unnoticed.

Keep them cool and dry

Store away from direct sunlight, heat sources and strong odours, and refrigerate where you have the capacity.

Reject damaged crates

Check crates on arrival and set aside any cracked, leaking or soiled eggs rather than mixing them in.

Poultry & egg questions

Frequently asked

Add crates to your cart and submit an order request, or send us a WhatsApp message. Because crate capacity and grading are confirmed per supply, the price for eggs is quoted rather than fixed online.

We confirm the crate specification, current price and delivery arrangement before anything is dispatched.

Community nutrition

Eggs do more than fill a crate.

Our poultry division also supports the Kerd Farms Egg & Nutrition Outreach, which shares free boiled eggs and nutrition education with schoolchildren during community visits.
